support for teens of parents with Parkinson's Disease

Recently I have had a number of patients diagnosed with PD who have teenage children. I am wondering if anyone has any resources (ie. books, articles) that would be written for the teens themselves to help them deal with issues that result.

  1. This is a very good topic and one that is not covered much. The only material I have been able to find is on the APDA. They have a link to a very brief blurb about what PD is written for kids and teens to understand but it does not really go into anything other than the very basics of PD. Anybody else know of any material?

  2. I have a brochure put out by Medtronic "Talking with Kids about PD" that addresses how to talk to different ages and gives a variety of ideas. They end by referring to www.newhopeforparkinsons.com
